Wheel & Handbuilding
Our fully equipped ceramics studio has wheels, tools, and a kiln on site. Clay and glazing materials included.
Adult

Wheel

There's a reason people fall in love with the wheel. From wedging and centering to throwing, trimming, and glazing, wheel pottery is meditative, technical, and challenging in the best way. Students work at their own pace with instructor guidance, moving from foundational throwing into more complex functional and sculptural forms.

Adult

Handbuilding

One of the oldest art forms on earth. Building on pinch, coil, and slab work, students explore both low-fire and mid-fire clay while developing a deeper understanding of form, texture, and surface — plus decorative techniques with glazes and color. After that, every piece is a chance to experiment and explore.

Teens

Wheel

Once you've fired your first mug, you'll never want to use store-bought dishes again. Students build on centering, opening, and pulling, adding wedging and trimming to the mix as projects grow more ambitious — taller forms, evenly thrown walls, and their first lidded pieces.

Teens

Handbuilding

Students build on pinch, coil, and slab construction with the freedom to make whatever they can dream up — including more advanced work like lidded vessels and complex forms, with more focus on self-expression as skills grow.

Kids · Ages 8–12

Wheel

Wheel throwing for kids is as fun as it sounds. Students learn to center clay, open a form, and pull their first walls — building hand strength, focus, and a lifelong habit of looking at dishes and thinking, "I could make that."

Kids · Ages 8–12

Clay Builders

Coils, slabs, and pinch pots — techniques that have been around for thousands of years, taught with plenty of patience for small hands. Students work toward mastering all three core methods, building spatial thinking and fine motor skills with every piece.

Kids · Ages 5–7

Clay Kids

Little hands, big ideas. Our youngest ceramics students explore clay through pinching, rolling, and shaping. Instruction focuses on sensory play and hand strength. Favorite activities include pinch pots and fossil prints made with leaves, flowers, or shells.

Age ranges are a guide, not a rule. Reach out if you're not sure where your student fits best.

Studio Art

Painting, Drawing & Mixed Media
From oil painting to mixed media, develop your technique, your eye, and your creative voice.
Adult

Oil Painting

Slow, forgiving, versatile, and dramatic. Students work on their own projects while developing skills in color mixing, composition, and paint application, with an eye on the painters who shaped the medium, and instructor guidance when you need it.

Adult

Studio Art

Play with different mediums and get reacquainted with your creative side. Students explore drawing, painting, collage, and more, with artist-inspired lessons throughout, in a supportive environment built for experimentation, creative problem-solving, and developing a personal style.

Teens

Creative Studio

Drawing, painting, collage, and everything in between. Students dig into hands-on studio work through artist-inspired lessons, becoming more comfortable inventing their own images and using art to express what can be difficult to say out loud. Instructors offer guidance when it’s helpful. There's plenty of room to experiment, take creative risks, and develop an individual style.

Teens

Comic Illustration

Teens explore comics as both visual art and storytelling while creating original characters and worlds. Using traditional media, students develop skills in character design, color, lettering, inking, and sequential art. All skill levels are welcome, with an emphasis on personal style and creative expression.

Kids · Ages 8–12

Art Makers

For kids who like to create and aren't afraid to try something new. Experience drawing, painting, collage, and simple 3D construction while learning how materials can work together in unexpected ways. Students sharpen technical skill, develop their artistic eye, and build the focus to stick with a project from start to finish.

Kids · Ages 8–12

Anime + Comic Illustration

Draw the characters you love, then create your own. Faces, figures, expressions, and simple panel layouts. Equal parts skill-building and simply having fun.

Kids · Ages 5–7

Studio Kids

Our youngest studio students explore color, texture, and a variety of art materials through guided projects that are playful, process-focused, and a little messy. Students build fine-motor skills, create bold and expressive artwork, and practice sharing ideas about what they’ve made.

Age ranges are a guide, not a rule. Reach out if you're not sure where your student fits best.
