Who We Are
Hey y'all. We're Andrea and Grant
We're native Tulsans who grew up covered in paint and clay. We went on to earn degrees in Studio Art (Grant) and Art Education (Andrea) and began our careers as working artists. Our professional paths eventually led us into the tech industry, with Grant working as a Growth Consultant and Andrea as a Sales and Operations Manager. Even as our careers took us to Denver and Austin, art remained central to our lives, and Tulsa always felt like home.
In 2024, Andrea left the corporate world to manage an art school in Austin. There, she helped build a community-centered studio for children, adults, and families at every stage of their creative journeys. That experience reinforced how meaningful it is to give people a supportive place to experiment, be vulnerable, and reconnect with themselves through creative expression.
Andrea's move back into The Arts sparked the realization that we had an opportunity to combine our skills and our passion to come home to Tulsa and create the kind of space we believe every community needs: a place where people of all ages can develop skills, explore materials, share ideas, and create alongside one another.
Firefly welcomes curious beginners, experienced artists, children discovering what they love, adults returning to creativity, and anyone who simply wants to make something. Our classes balance thoughtful instruction with individual encouragement, giving each person room to develop confidence and make work that feels genuinely their own.
We know that making art can be grounding, restorative, joyful, and deeply personal. Creativity gives us a way to slow down, take healthy risks, express what may be difficult to put into words, and connect more fully with ourselves and one another. We work intentionally to create an environment where people feel safe enough to try, supported enough to grow, and welcome exactly as they are.
Everyone is welcome at Firefly, period. No judgment and no experience required. Just creativity, kindness, and the desire to be part of Tulsa's vibrant creative community.
